How to Install Jade Mod on Fabric
Install Jade on Fabric with a clean version check, dependency check and mods-folder workflow.
Before you start
Write down the exact Minecraft version used by your launcher instance. Then confirm that the Jade release you want is marked for Fabric (or Fabric/Quilt where applicable). A similar-looking version number is not enough.
Also read the dependency panel on the official release page. Fabric builds commonly rely on Fabric API, so install the dependency version appropriate for your instance instead of copying one from another profile.
Installation steps
- Install Fabric Loader for the same Minecraft version.
- Launch the Fabric profile once so the instance folders are created.
- Download the matching Jade Fabric build from an official source.
- Download any required dependency such as Fabric API when the release page calls for it.
- Move the JAR files into that instance’s
modsfolder. - Remove older duplicate Jade builds before launching.
Verify Jade
Start Minecraft using the Fabric profile, enter a world and point at a familiar block. A Jade overlay should identify the target. If nothing appears, check Controls → Key Binds → Jade in case the overlay toggle was changed.
Common mistakes
- Using a NeoForge or Forge build inside a Fabric profile.
- Installing Jade into the global game folder while the launcher uses a separate instance folder.
- Keeping two Jade JARs for different Minecraft versions.
- Skipping a dependency listed for the selected release.
