Using Jade with JEI & Modpacks
Use Jade alongside recipe and modpack tools without turning the screen into overlapping information panels.
Different tools, complementary roles
Jade answers questions about the thing you are looking at in the world. JEI-style recipe tools answer questions about items, recipes and uses. Together they can reduce context switching, especially in large technology or progression packs.
Resolve key conflicts
Recipe lookup, use lookup and Jade controls may overlap with other mods. Search Minecraft’s Controls screen for conflicts and assign a deliberate layout rather than relying on defaults from dozens of mods.
Keep panels readable
- Place Jade where it does not cover your crosshair or recipe panel.
- Trim modules that repeat information shown elsewhere.
- Test at your real UI scale, not only the default scale.
A stable modpack workflow
When adding Jade to a mature pack, add only Jade and its required dependencies first, verify startup, then check keybind conflicts. This keeps troubleshooting focused if a new overlay or integration behaves unexpectedly.

When you are ready to download, use the official Jade project on Modrinth or CurseForge. Verify the exact Minecraft version, loader and dependency information shown on the release page.
